A High Performance Radiosystem Against Indoor Multipath: Spread Spectrum Using a SAW Matched Filter
Un système de Radiocommunication Performant pour Lutter Contre les Trajets Multiples dans les Bâtiments: L'étalement de Spectre Utilisant un Filtre Adapté à Ondes Élastiques de Surface
OPEN ACCESS
We describe an indoor antimultipath radiocommunication system. The study of the time impulse response allows to predict the poor performance of classical modulations including spread spectrum. The use of a DPSK SAW matched filter especially developped for this application is shown to have tremandons advantages. Experimental tests were made inside a nuclear plant and confirm the theoretical results. Despite the absence of direct path within most of the reception cell, Bit Error Rates are very good :they are inferior to 10-6for a bit rate equal to 256 kbls.
