Introduction:
This Special Issue focuses on the vital intersection between mathematics and various fields of science and engineering. It aims to emphasize the profound impact of mathematics on the advancement of scientific and engineering disciplines and the application of mathematical tools and techniques in solving intricate problems and driving innovation.
Mathematics serves as a fundamental framework for comprehending and analyzing the natural world and designing and optimizing engineering systems. It provides a universal language and comprehensive tools for modeling, simulating, and predicting phenomena across diverse scientific and engineering domains.

Ahmed J. Obaid, is a Asst. Professor at the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Computer Science and Mathematics, University of Kufa, Iraq. Dr. Ahmed holds a Bachelor's in Computer Science, a degree in – Information Systems from the College of Computers, University of Anbar, Iraq (2001-2005), and a Master's Degree (M. TECH) in Computer Science Engineering (CSE) from School of Information Technology, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, India (2010-2013), and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Web Mining from College of Information Technology, University of Babylon, Iraq (2013-2017). He is a Certified Web Mining Consultant with over 14 years of experience working as a Faculty Member at the University of Kufa, Iraq. He has taught courses in Web Designing, Web Scripting, JavaScript, VB.Net, MATLAB Toolbox, and other courses on PHP, CMC, and DHTML from more than 10 international organizations and institutes in the USA, and India. Dr. Ahmed is a member of the Statistical and Information Consultation Center (SICC), University of Kufa, Iraq. His main line of research is Web mining Techniques and Applications, Image processing in Web Platforms, Image processing, Genetic Algorithm, information theory, and Medical Health Applications. Dr. Polkowski is a certified teacher at the ZespółSzkółim. Of the United Nations in Polkowice, professor of the Jagiellonian University in the Faculty of Technical Sciences and Rector's Plenipotentiary for International Cooperation and Erasmus + Program at the Jan Wyżykowski University in Polkowice and an assistant professor at the Karkonosze State Higher Vocational School in Jelenia Góra. From 2019, he is also an assistant professor at the Department of Business Intelligence in Management, Wrocław University of Economics. He is also visiting professor at Pitesti University in Romania, WSG University in Bydgoszcz in Poland, Swami Sahajanand School of Management in Bhavnagar, India and Assistant Professor at Marwadi University in Swami Sahajanand College Of Commerce & Management in Bhavnagar, India. Former dean of the Faculty of Technical Sciences in 2009-2012 at UZZM in Lubin. He holds a PhD in computer science and management at the Wrocław University of Technology, post-graduate studies in microcomputer systems in management at the Wrocław University of Economics and post-graduate studies in pedagogical computer science at the University of Economics in Katowice. He graduated from engineering studies in the field of computer systems in industry at the Zielona Góra University of Technology. His area of interest includes IT in business, IoT in business and educational technologies. He successfully completed the research project "Development of an innovative methodology for teaching Business Informatics" financed by the European Commission.
