AI-enabled mobile and IoT systems are capable of utilizing AI to process data collected from mobile and IoT devices in order to make decisions, automate processes, and improve the user experience. AI-enabled mobile and IoT systems can be used to provide personalized, context-aware services to users, enhance customer service, and enable more efficient and secure data management. Examples of AI-enabled mobile and IoT systems include smart home assistants, autonomous vehicles, intelligent personal assistants, and facial recognition systems. These systems can help automate mundane tasks, provide more accurate data analysis, and create more personalized user experiences. AI-enabled mobile and IoT systems use AI to improve the user experience. AI can be used to recognize and respond to user patterns, learn and adapt to user preferences, and improve the accuracy and speed of user interactions. AI can also be used to optimize the performance of IoT systems, enabling them to quickly and accurately process data, detect anomalies, and take appropriate actions. AI can also help to identify and respond to security threats, ensuring greater safety and privacy for users.

Arvind Dhaka received his PhD degree in Computer Science and Engineering from NIT Hamirpur, India (an institute of national importance) in 2018. Since 2018, he is working as Assistant Professor in Department of Computer and Communication Engineering at Manipal University Jaipur. His research interests include Wireless Communication, Wireless Sensor Networks, Ad-Hoc Networks, Medical Image Processing, Machine Leaning and Deep Learning in Image Processing.

Short Bio:

Imran Shafique Ansari (S’ 07-M' 15) received the B.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) in 2009 (with First Honors) and M.Sc. and PhD degrees from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in 2010 and 2015, respectively. Currently, since August 2018, he is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) with University of Glasgow, Glasgow, UK. Prior to this, from November 2017 to July 2018, he was a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) with Global College of Engineering and Technology (GCET) (affiliated with University of the West of England (UWE), Bristol, UK). From April 2015 to November 2017, he was a Postdoctoral Research Associate (PRA) with Texas A&M University at Qatar (TAMUQ). From May 2009 through Aug. 2009, he was a visiting scholar with Michigan State University (MSU), East Lansing, MI, USA, and from Jun. 2010 through Aug. 2010, he was a research intern with Carleton University, Ottawa, ON, Canada.

He has been affiliated with IEEE since 2007 and has served in various capacities. He is serving on IEEE European Public Policy Committee (2023-2024). He has served on the IEEE Nominations and Appointments (N&A) Committee 2020-2021 and IEEE Communication Society Young Professionals (ComSoc YP) Board 2016-2021. He is part of the IEEE 5G Tech Focus Publications Editorial Board since Feb. 2017. He is an active reviewer for EPSRC research grants, various IEEE Transactions and various other journals. He has served as a TPC for various IEEE conferences. He is a recipient of appreciation for an exemplary reviewer for IEEE Transaction on Communications (TCOM) in 2018 and 2016, a recipient of appreciation for an exemplary reviewer for IEEE Wireless Communications Letters (WCL) in 2017 and 2014, a recipient of TAMUQ ECEN Research Excellence Award 2016, 2017, a recipient of post-doctoral research award (PDRA) (first cycle) with Qatar national research foundation (QNRF) in 2014, a recipient of KAUST academic excellence award (AEA) in 2014, and a recipient of IEEE Richard E. Merwin student scholarship award in Jul. 2013.

Dr. Ansari has authored/co-authored 100+ journal and conference publications. He has co-organized the GRASNET'2016, 2017, 2018 workshops in conjunction with IEEE WCNC'2016, 2017 and IEEE Globecom 2018. His current research interests include free-space optics (FSO), satellite communications, underwater communications, physical layer secrecy issues, and reconfigurable intelligent surfaces / intelligent reflective surfaces (RIS / IRS), among others.

Dr Ninoslav Marina

Short Bio:

Ninoslav Marina obtained a Ph.D. at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in 2004. In partnership with Nokia Research Centre in Helsinki, his thesis was in the information theory with application to wireless communications. Ninoslav Marina was Director of R&D at Sowoon Technologies from 2005 to 2007. From 2007 to 2008 he was Visiting Scholar at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. After that, from 2008 to 2009, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Oslo. During the period 2010–2012 Ninoslav Marina was Visiting Postdoctoral Research Associate at Princeton University. He still holds a Visiting Research position at Princeton. Prof. Marina has been a guest professor at twenty universities, including United States, Japan, United Kingdom, Israel, Russia, Brazil, Hong Kong, Norway, Finland, Portugal, and the Czech Republic. He has an excellent record and experience in fund raising through various public funding instruments both in academia and industry, including programs such as the Swiss CTI, Swiss NSF, the European Commission and the European Space Agency. He has been an evaluator expert and a reviewer within European Commission’s 6th and 7th Framework Program. Dr. Marina is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and is one of the co-founders of the Macedonian Chapter of the IEEE Information Theory Society.

Edmar Candeia Gurjao is currently working as Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Federal University of Campina Grande, Brazil. He received PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Campina Grande (UFCG), PB. He has been working with Signal Processing applications in Telecommunications, especially in Software Defined Radio, and Compressed Sensing .He has carried out consulting work in which he applies his knowledge in Signal Processing, Telecommunications and Artificial Intelligence.
