Synthesis and Characterization of Fe2O3/SiO2/TiO2 Composite Thin Film on Different Substrates for Water Splitting
OPEN ACCESS
Composite nanostructure of Fe2O3/SiO2/TiO2 thin film was deposited on different substrates by using a Doctor Blading technique. Higher concentration ratio has been employed to evaluate the upper limit of concentration effect of this three components electrode. Properties and performance of deposited thin films ware characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and photoelectrochemical measurements. The XRD results for the titanium substrate of this multi components thin film showed the highest degree of crystallinity and photocurrent compared to the others. The particle size of thin deposited film on FTO glass substrate is large compared to other films.
