Manuscripts should contain the title, the name, full address and e-mail of the authors, an abstract, the main text including, maybe, one or more appendices, and the list of references. Papers, including figures and tables, should be limited to about 10 camera-ready pages.
Paper Title and Authors
The first page of each paper is to contain the title of the paper, the author’s (authors’) name(s) and affiliation(s).
The abstract should be concise and carefully worded description of the problem addressed, the key ideas introduced, and the results.
This section should be succinct, with no subheadings.
Materials and Methods
This part should contain sufficient detail so that all procedures can be repeated. It can be divided into subsections if several methods are described.
Results and Discussion
This section may each be divided by subheadings or may be combined.
Equations, Units and Nomenclature
Equations should be typed. Each paper must have a separate nomenclature section that lists in detail and unambiguously all the symbols used in the text and their definitions. All data (including the ones in tables and figures) must be reported in SI units. When used with numerals, units should be abbreviated; if units are used in general terms with no specific numerals, they should be spelled out.
Tables and Figures
Each table and figure should be brief and descriptive, and each one should be referred to somewhere in the text. Authors should make sure that tables and figures used in their papers are legible when printed in black and white.
This should clearly explain the main conclusions of the work highlighting its importance and relevance.
References to cited literature should be identified in the text in square brackets and grouped at the end of the paper in numerical order of appearance. References should be styled and punctuated according to the following examples: journal article , book , thesis , report , proceedings , and edited book .
Peer Review Process
A single blind reviewing procedure is adopted by all IIETA journals. After submission, if the topics of the paper are appropriate for the journal, the manuscript is sent to the editor in chief or managing editor and then the paper will reach a panel of experts as reviewers involved in those research areas, who can be either external or members of the editorial board. Each paper is reviewed by at least two reviewers. The final decision concerning the papers publication belongs to the editor in chief or managing editor. And their comments will be returned to the author. There are four possible outcomes:
a) Accept: the paper will be published without any revision.
b) Minor revision: the author will be required to revise the paper according to reviewers’ comments and then return the revised paper to the editor. The paper will be accepted at the editor’s discretion.
c) Major revision: the author will be required to significantly revise the paper according to reviewers’ comments and then return the revised paper to the editor. The paper will then undergo another, final round of refereeing.
d) Reject: the paper will not be published.
Upon acceptance, the author will receive an acceptance letter sent by the editor in chief or managing editor.
Please note that, once the editorial board informs the author that the paper under review is accepted, via email or online journal system, it is tacitly approved that the copyright of the paper is transferred from the author to the journal, no matter whether copyright transfer agreement is signed or the formal acceptance letter is offered instantly after the acceptance. As soon as the acceptance decision is notified, the editorial board will not agree to any request from the author for cancellation or removal of the paper.
IIETA will hold copyright on all papers, while the author will maintain all other rights including patents and the right to use and reproduce material.
