Abstract:

In 2009 the Revue Internationale de Génie Eléctrique became the International Journal of Electrical Engineering.

This change had two consequences. The first one is that French disappears in most of the submitted papers and it was decided that in 2014 all the published papers will be written in English. Due to some backlog, the first volume of 2014 is therefore the last one where some papers are still published in French with an extended summary in English.

The second consequence of this decision, consequence which was expected by the Editorial Board, was an important increase of the number of publication proposals. This has disrupted the reviewing process which became too long in 2013. For this year the Editorial Board has thus decided to improve this process with a goal of sending the first editor’s recommendation for all the proposals in less than six months.

As previously, the next issues will contain regular papers or extended version of best papers selected in conferences in the various fields of electrical engineering.
